Add rsync to medium image

Would it be possible to add rsync to the medium image?

I am new to the whole CI logic, but I am baffled by the lack of rsync in almost all images I've come across. I admit I do wonder how are deploying (I use either rsync or git pull from the server, I can't image other ways)
