PlantUML is a language, able to create different forms of diagrams from its syntax. It supports many UML-, as well as non-UML Diagrams.
Used file-extentions are: '.pu', '.puml' and sometimes '.plantuml'.

PlantUML does use a factory-building as an icon, though in its documentation the default sprout-emoji is used in some headings. In my opinion, something like a Sprout or a Leaf sounds fitting for the name.
