By the end of this issue, our team should be able to choose a direction for updating the product website's navigation to address several concerns such as:

  • Ability for users to quickly find what they are looking (see Carrie's user testing results)
  • Shortening the length of the lhn (and potentially better aligning with Carbon website)

Acceptance criteria

  • Create several prototypes for the left hand nav in Figma. This should include a short term prototype for where PLG items live
  • Discuss pros and cons of the prototypes with the broader team, with considerations for short term benefits and longer term alignment across the system
  • Once an option has been selected, create a new issue with the high fidelity spec and content mapping for dev hand-off
