Unable to use contentCloning: true

Hi! I'm trying to build a website to teach chinese and Tooltipster looks perfect to use as a popup dictionary. I'm trying to use HTML on the tooltip and it works perfectly on words that appear only once in the document. However, for words that appear more than once, the text gets messed up. I tried to use contentCloning: true, but with no success as well. Could somebody give me some directions? Thanks a lot!
