Upon startup bumptop works perfect. But as soon as i launch "task view" on win 10, bumptop becomes transparent.

closing and restarting bumptop does not solve the issue. It only fixes after restarting the machine. and the fix only lasts until i open task view again.

Update: Here is my work-around

Thankfully, you can use hot-keys to switch between multiple desktops in windows 10.

  1. To stop using task view. (options below)
    a) right click on task bar: remove task view from task bar
    b) via windows settings: turn off the task view gesture on multi-touch track-pads
    c) Fully disable task view on windows 10
    d) Leave task view as is, and only use task view when absolutely needed

  2. Use
    a) win+ctrl+left or win+ctrl+right switches desktops left and right
    b) win+ctrl+d adds another virtual desktop
    c) win+ctrl+f4 closes a virtual desktop

  3. Download some cool virtual desktop tools thanks to this article on makeusof.com

PRO TIP: Microsoft Surface Dial is great for rotating between virtual desktops without opening task view.

  1. first you'll need to install virtual desktop manager to enable the following hotkeys. Remember to add the exe file to your windows startup folder
  2. You can create a "custom tool" in the dial's settings page, and use ctrl+alt+ (left or right) as the hotkeys for the dial to switch between desktops.
