Start Menu Search Only Shows Native Apps? #57

If I apply everything in the list searching in the start menu only shows native apps.

For example, if I have the native calculator and libreoffice installed, you'd expect to see the calculator & libreoffice calc appear when I search for "calc", but only the native calculator is shown. I can still scroll through the list of installed apps to find libreoffice calc.

I've tried reverting only those fixes which seem somehow related but haven't been able to find which fix causes this behaviour.

I had a similar issue but I could still search for all my apps that I installed before running Privatezilla. The search still works perfectly fine only the indexing of new files stops working. For some reason even rebuilding the search index does nothing.

Workaround: Go to Settings -> Privacy -> Background apps and enable it again. Now either restart your computer or just restart windows explorer from task manager.

After that search started working again and newly added Apps would show up almost instantly. You might have to enable Access to File System as well but for me it works without.

This should fix the issue, if it was the same that I was facing. (I ran privatezilla with all options, but no custom scripts)
Feel free to disable all apps in "Background Apps" Windows Search doesn't show up for some reason.

Just use Everything (Everything search).... super fast and lightweight. You'll never want to use Windows Search again!
