If #10 is implemented and tabs are added, it would make sense for ⌘W to be tied to Close Tab, as it is in all tab-based apps. Tabs are not currently implemented, and @brrd has said this would require major changes to the codebase. Right now, it makes more sense for ⌘W to be tied to Close Window.
