What I'd like:
New instance types are not represented in eni-max-pods. AWS launched support for M6in, M6idn, R6in, and R6idn and C6in instances. Entries were added for the AL2 EKS AMI here. I would like to see entries for for M6in, M6idn, R6in, R6idn, C6in added to the eni-max-pods file to better support these instance types.

Any alternatives you've considered:

  • The AL2 EKS AMI is able to calculate a value at bootstrap if it is not present in the file after this change.
