I can't find the English readme's any more. Under docs there are only the Japanese and Chinese versions. I know it was somewhere, but it is not at an obvious location right now.

specifically i am looking for the English version of this document:
https://github.com/bmaltais/kohya_ss/blob/master/docs/train_README-ja.md

The docs are from the upstream repo: https://github.com/kohya-ss/sd-scripts

But I think you are misremembering. In the git repository itself there weren't any english docs available before. It's only recently that kohya-ss added english docs (see this PR: kohya-ss/sd-scripts#1175)

bmaltais has a wiki page with english descriptions of the training params, maybe that is what you are looking for: https://github.com/bmaltais/kohya_ss/wiki/LoRA-training-parameters

No I am 100% the doc i have linked above was available in English 6 months ago as I remember the example images and the general structure of the document with the frog images and so on. The thing I am looking for was the section that explains how the class images are handled, like what the step setting for each class folder does. Does it iterate the number of all class images for each sample or otherwise. And I think it was explained there.

I went six months back and there is no english doc: https://github.com/bmaltais/kohya_ss/tree/ee5a970e9000d97e26c89359de04922b7078713c/docs

You can rummage through previous files yourself by going to the commit history and clicking the < > button on the right to browse files at that point in time. See commit history here: https://github.com/bmaltais/kohya_ss/commits/master/

Maybe you had google auto translate on or something?

I definitely did not have any sort of auto translate, never use that sort of thing. All I know this document exist in English... somewhere... Because from that document I basically learned the basics about Kohya that's why I am so sure it must be somewhere. But now I need it again because I can't remember everything and I am having a bit of a hard time getting a good ratio of reg images. This document contains all the basic information I need and I am somewhat surprised it is not at a prominent place. Since I am fine tuning ckeckpoints and not playing around with Lora's I need this kind of information, all the guides are more ore less worthless to me as I train directly with the classes and not just some styles or a character.

Perhaps if someone who speaks Japanese or Chinese could provide a translation if the English variant somehow disappeared I would be immensely grateful.

Are you talking about this file:

https://github.com/bmaltais/kohya_ss/blob/master/docs/LoRA/options.md

No, this one but in English:
https://github.com/bmaltais/kohya_ss/blob/master/docs/train_README-ja.md

Specifically the example pics with the rabbit and the frog let me recognize the document.
