[2][svk] Wallet does not load #571
Comments
the window stays black |
Some more info please, light wallet or website? Cloud wallet? |
@svk31 incognito, bitshares.org/wallet so no wallet |
incognito chrome MacOS works for me |
We might need to narrow this down to chrome versions, can you please list yours? |
|
Ok that might be a lead then, v61 isn't yet available for Linux so I'm still on v60. |
but firefox shows errors too |
You shouldn't use Firefox.. We used to have a warning for that, not sure where it went. |
It's possible that #531 has resolved it but it hasn't yet been released. |
@svk31 yea, just for reference. tested 3 browsers, everyone gave me errors. it's strange, behavior, because sometimes it works after one refresh |
There is a console log showing which node it connected to. Try to discover a pattern. |
eu.openledger and crypto.fans |
I mean to say, try to see if there is a correlation between successful connections and failed connections. |
Ok I believe I've found the cause, working on a fix now. For now, an easy workaround should be to link to https://bitshares.org/wallet/#/, make sure you include the hash. |
I fixed this for bitshares.org/wallet using a server level forwarding rule that redirects from bitshares.org/wallet to bitshares.org/wallet/#/ Anyone hosting a web wallet and using the hash history setup should look into doing the same for their websites. Still looking for a way to solve it in the light clients where it also happens sometimes. |
user Xeldal just reported this in telegram chat (firefox regular mode) I can't reproduce it in regular firefox (I have no addons, he does) but I reproduced it in firefox new private window specifically https://bitshares.org/wallet I see "Loading..." flash for a sec and then chrome, chrome incognito, firefox for me seem ok now. (I don't know if it's rude to post on closed issues, but didn't seem worth opening new issue since this might just be edge case of firefox private mode) |
when trying to visit via incognito mode.
