I have two devices both running 4.4.2-ose with Tasks.org 13.11.1. One one of the devices, Samsung/Android 14, when I delete a task on the server from a read-only calendar it is not deleted locally. But on the other device Motorola/Android 13 it is deleted. However, when I try to collect debug information, it does not delete the tasks on both devices. The report below is for Motorola. I can provide access, so you can test this yourself.
For the test I create a new user and that new user has read-only access to a calendar. This calendar has two events in 2021.
I add on both devices an account with access to the read-only calendar, add a task to the calendar, and synchronize. The account is configured to synchronize only the last 90 days, so it synchronizes no events. The task appears in Tasks.org.
Now I delete the task from the server and synchronize again. As can be seen from the log below, DAVx5 detects that the sync-token changed from data:,1603173651-336 to data:,1603173651-337, but does not issue REPORT to get the differences between data:,1603173651-336 to data:,1603173651-337. The log contains “2024-10-09 10:18:48 264 [.sync.SyncManager] Removed 1 local resources which are not present on the server anymore”, but the task is still shown in Tasks.org.
The problem report is that the deleted on the server task is still shown in Tasks.org.
