Downloads and Trash Folder not working

When I click trash on the touchbar, it says that I have nothing in the trash, even though there is some pdfs and other files in the trash when I click on my mac doc. Also, the downloads seem to only show files created 30 days ago, not the most recent ones, which is also frustrating. I can maybe create a pull request to solve this problem, if you would like. I can do this by just creating new widgets. Otherwise, please fix this annoying issue. Thank you!
