Show today's logs by default when opening a channel

The landing pages that you arrive on when clicking a channel in the sidebar, of which the permalink is often linked from IRC channel topics and wiki pages, I think would be improved if it defaulted to showing today's backscroll.

For example, today that means https://wm-bot.wmcloud.org/browser/index.php?display=%23mediawiki-core would show the same response as https://wm-bot.wmcloud.org/browser/index.php?start=07%2F11%2F2023&end=07%2F11%2F2023&display=%23mediawiki-core.

If you think this would be a good idea, I'd be happy to write a patch.
