I need clarity from the Fire Zone information panel regarding what topographic positions are associated with an advisory or warning.
So That I have greater situational awareness and know where problematic fire behaviour could show up.
Acceptance Criteria
Update the Fire Zone information panel to display the percentage of each topographic position (valley bottom, mid slope, upper slope) that is under advisory. Eg.) If there is 10,000 pixels of upper slope, and 5,000 of those pixels are under advisory, then the percentage displayed for upper slope in the infographic would be 50%.
Update the column name in the table from "Proportion of Advisory Area" to something like "Portion under advisory".
Additional Context
ASA currently displays a percentage of the total advisory area in each of the three topographic positions where there sum adds up to 100%.
This issue with this approach is that you will always have low percentages for some topographic positions based on their relative proportions within the fire zone. Eg.) Imagine a day where 100% of all valley bottoms in a zone are under advisory but the percentage shown is only 30% because that is the total spatial extent of this topographic position within the zone. The 30% value would suggest there is less of a concern in valley bottoms as opposed to saying 100% of valley bottoms are under advisory today.
From a UX perspective we could consider highlighting what topographic positions are of concern based on their respective percentages. Something like the battery charge symbol on a mobile device that changes from green to red as your device is running low on stored power. However, in our case the symbol would change from green to red as the percentage of the topographic position under advisory increases towards 100%. There is opportunity to create more consistency with the approach taken for fuel types in ASA: Fuel type percentages in dashboard table #4193
