In the Finance Data Catalogue, a logged in user can save a search (based on keywords and/or search facets values). See: https://cat.data.fin.gov.bc.ca/documentation/saving-searches

When new MR content is added to the system and it matches a saved search, the owner of that saved search receives an email.

For example:

  • Determine what the conditions are that make the email to the saved searched owner happen - is it is scheduled job or something else?
  • Enhance the email so that it is less plain and more like the email send to editors reminding them that they need to review their MRs
  • Adjust the documentation to mention the saved search notification emails
