With the inclusion of MLFlow in the new version of Studio it would be great to have a way to check the status of the server before executing a shutdown.
To help manage costs it would be ideal to have a way to constrain by time when MLFlow is running. This could be done via a regularly scheduled Lambda that at a certain time shuts the server down and then stands it back up.
The issue with the above approach is that if experiments are currently running, shutting down the server would disrupt them. As far as I can tell, there is no way through the sagemaker sdk to determine whether MLFlow has any jobs running, only if it is on or not.
Is there a way to do this already or would it need to be added as a feature?
