Widget causes constant UI restart #12

Same issue, Intel, arch, embedded intel graphics, etc. but I'm on an Asus rather than a dell. Additionally, my plasmashell primarily crashes when I use a touchpad gesture to change desktops. It's more unstable across the board, but it will crash nearly 100% of the time I change desktops with this installed. edit : just checked and it looks like atul-g hasn't had any activity on their account at all in over a year, so this is unlikely to be fixed and will probably either need to be forked and maintained by someone else or we'll just need to find an alternative. |
Same issue, Framework 11th gen intel, with fedora 38 and KDE 27. I've been so annoyed with this I've reinstalled my whole os to try to fix it, just for it to reappear. It happened anytime 1) logging into KDE 2) switching desktops 3) randomly. I love this plugin, but the fact that it can cause such a serious and frustrating issue has me worried. while its being fixed, does anyone know of a similar alternative? Operating System: Fedora Linux 38 |
Running across this issue as well (Framework AMD, NixOS 24.05). It doesn't seem to crash anything if I run it I decided to setup a custom system monitor power plasmoid instead (apparently you can do that!). It's not quite as accurate, and doesn't update as fast for some reason, but it seems to work well enough... |
The UI kept restarting, as in going black all together where everything disappears then comes back. This happens in a random interval, but it doesn't take too long to happen again. Sometimes, it just hangs on a black screen where I only see the cursor. Removed the widget and the system is normal now.
