We don't have any immediate plans to make the formatter more configurable. We are aware that adding more options would make the formatter useful for more users. So it is something that we might consider for the future, but it's a long way out. |

Hello. I am aware that Ruff priority is to follow Black, but Black itself is a community idea, not Python standard. Because of that, it is quite opinionated and not every choice it takes is objectively good. A lot of decisions are a matter of taste.
Ruff will be perfect for me if its formatter could be configured with default settings following Black style. This way it can be adjusted in areas in which user do not want to follow Black's opinionated choices. Do you plan long term to support broader configuration options?
Edit: I know, that this thread is duplicated, as I've seen somewhere original issue, but I cannot find it :(
