Doubts regarding performance difference between thinking and non thinking models

I have used this awesome project some months ago when there was no reasoning model and it did pretty great job at that time for me as far as i could remember. But as i used deep research methods at that time ,it took similar amount of time when compared with today's thinking models. So i am thinking like is there any advantage of using thinking models with this project or we will get similar results in our deep research ?

Those who have tested this project with and without thinking models, do share your experience here so that more and more people can save their money and time if we are not getting any better results.
