After not being able to run a project that links against mxnet because of the following error: dyld: Library not loaded: lib/libmxnet.so, I discovered that otool -L libmxnet.so produces
lib/libmxnet.so (compatibility version 0.0.0, current version 0.0.0)
/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 1238.60.2)
/System/Library/Frameworks/Accelerate.framework/Versions/A/Accelerate (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 4.0.0)
/usr/lib/libc++.1.dylib (compatibility version 1.0.0, current version 307.5.0)
and the mxnet/lib directory contains libmxnet.a and libmxnet.so.
EDIT: I realized that I'm an idiot and the first line should be there. I also realized, however, that it should likely be an rpath or something, and the solution will likely be with install_name_tool.

I should also note that I tried building with opencv3 and the build errors out with being unable to find the cv::Mat and other symbols:
I've tried using install_name_tool to change the linkage manually to libmxnet.a but that doesn't work. I've also tried setting my LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH to the mxnet root
I also just tried checking out the v0.11.0 tag, that doesn't work either.

libmxnet.so links against itself?
libmxnet.so load path error
Dec 17, 2017
I managed to fix the problem with install_name_tool -id /path/to/mxnet/lib/libmxnet.so libmxnet.so
I still think this is an issue as I don't think it should be necessary to do this. However, this does seem to fix the problem, I'll investigate if I can make a change to the makefile to fix this.

and then try to build with usual cmake commands.
What have you tried to solve it?
I've tried using
install_name_tool
to change the linkage manually to libmxnet.a but that doesn't work. I've also tried setting my LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH to the mxnet rootI also just tried checking out the v0.11.0 tag, that doesn't work either.
