What package is missing from Amazon Linux 2023? Please describe and include package name.

PostgreSQL 17

Is this an update to existing package or new package request?

New

Is this package available in Amazon Linux 2? If it is available via external sources such as EPEL, please specify.

PostgreSQL 16 is available, but not PostgreSQL 17

Any additional information you'd like to include. (use-cases, etc)

I'm curious about those of you who are interested in this -- what's your use case for PostgreSQL on Amazon Linux? Why are you not using RDS?

For us, the use case is Citus (not available for RDS). I'm curious what it is is for others, if you'd care to share. Maybe we could build some mutually beneficial connections.

Why are you self-hosting? Cost optimization? Better security? Legacy architecture? Citus?

@mattklein I need the postgres client for a secured bastion, not the server itself.
