What package is missing from Amazon Linux 2023? Please describe and include package name.

systemd-netlogd

Is this an update to existing package or new package request?

New request

Is this package available in Amazon Linux 2? If it is available via external sources such as EPEL, please specify.

It is not part of Amazon Linux 2, and is not an official part of EPEL. However, it is being built for EPEL and Fedora here: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/recteurlp/systemd-netlogd/.

Any additional information you'd like to include. (use-cases, etc)

The project is at https://github.com/systemd/systemd-netlogd and it includes an RPM spec file

The reason this would be useful is that modern systems log via systemd-journald, and per that project the recommendation for syslog forwarding is to use systemd-netlogd.

A quick poke at the package build shows there's some work to get the spec file to the state where it'd be okay for Fedora, but this seems like a useful package to have this use case well served.
