The way records are visualized in the timeline now, overlap should always be visible. To be precise, the smaller record is always drawn on top of a larger record. Do you mean that you'd like a more clear indicator when overlap occurs?
I never want entries to overlap. It would be nice if I could set a related flag my settings.
Could you explain the use-case a bit more? Do you want to prevent overlap from dragging records in the timeline (which is already prevented via a snapping mechanic), or are you thinking about setting start and stop times in the dialog?
Outright preventing overlap is not feasible, because technically another client (e.g. the TimeTagger CLI) can create overlapping records. Best we can do is prevent/discourage it in the web app.
I would like to see a warning, if entries are overlapping.
Or better: I never want entries to overlap. It would be nice if I could set a related flag my settings.
