Describe the solution you'd like
A transparency slider similar to #633 for the layers in the Scene to improve comparisons.

Alternative:
Add Master Transparency slider for Scene layers to adjust transparency of selected (one or multiple) layers in scene
(Button and/or Ctrl+Rclick)

Additional context
At the moment layers can only be enabled/disabled
