Came across this project from the ffmpegof page curious what your progress is. I run jellyfin on my k8s cluster and a microservice go implementation would be a godsend.

Glad to hear you found this repo lol, I still haven't got around to starting it really.. been busy with hrčko but am looking forward to starting the project with a friend when I finish some work I have, so probably at the end of April.

The idea is to conform to the Jellyfin API which would allow to use any app / webapp made to work with Jellyfin. This would allow me only to maintain the server code which will be microserviced Go implementation, so it will consume less resources and be easily scalable. I'm also planning on making it cloudnative, so S3 for storage will be possible for example.

Ffmpegof (rffmpeg) as well as Autoscan will be rewritten and implemented as part of Morana codebase.

Sounds good! A modern cloud native implementation is sorely needed in this space. I'll have to implement Ffmpegof in the mean time.
