[On the 7th August 2023 meeting, it was observed that our intention to attend certain conferences has been reactive, rather than proactive. This means that not a lot of time was available to prepare material (e.g. presentations, poster, paper), which might affect the impact of our contribution to these events. Creating and regularly updating a list of RAM-related conferences and events will allow the team to more strategically decide which conferences are worth attending well ahead of date, and prepare accordingly to maximise our impact]
What needs to be done?
Create Excel/other database file to host list of conferences and their description (date, topic, relevance to RAM team, priority (not worth going, nice to go, must go))
Research and add list of conferences and events for the forthcoming 12 months. TPS has a log of what conferences have been attended by people, so that might be a good place to start
Discuss at meeting (or asynchronously via commenting) to decide which conferences we should go to, and who should go
Create calendar with conferences we decide to attend
Figure out a way to update/remind recurring yearly conferences (ideally a cool solution)
Who can help?
Anyone willing to be up-to-date with upcoming events!

Might be good to make sure there's cadence here. How do we keep it up to date? Revisit it every month or so, during our meetings? Making sure that it's updated beforehand?
