Per szimek/signature_pad#257, this seems to be a bug in CRA, not in signature_pad, and only in CRAv1 for that matter (CRAv2 is already out). I think users of CRAv1 can resolve this just by aliasing signature_pad to signature_pad/dist/signature_pad.js (or .min.js)
