Checklist

  • I have filled out the template to the best of my ability.
  • This only contains 1 feature request (if you have multiple feature requests, open one feature request for each feature request).
  • This issue is not a duplicate feature request of previous feature requests.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I'm trying to accurately measure sleep but the sleep data is tracking as last 24 hours. This gets difficult to measure if I don't sleep consistent hours.

Describe the solution you'd like

I understand there's difficulty managing this sleep tracking due to everyone's various schedules and people working night shifts. What is a configurable time was added that triggered a reset of the counter at that time every day.

For example, I know that if i fall asleep after 5pm local time that it will not be a nap and I'll want it tracked as part of my nightly sleep. I would then want any incremental time after 5pm to add to the sleep time up until it resets the next day at 5pm. This would give me my unique sleep time. This could also work for someone who works night shifts since their configurable reset would likely be in the morning if they are sleeping during the day.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I've played around with templates and automations to subtract the current value from the value 24hrs ago. It's not perfect but it gets closer.

Additional context

Thanks for all of your work on this. I know sleep tracking with everyone's schedule is a difficult one to solve for.
