The default Columns block overlaps the default block appender, due to the margin collapsing introduced in #7365:

untitled___ mindful _wordpress

It also causes issues with other adjacent blocks:

untitled___ mindful _wordpress

And makes selecting sibling blocks (mainly the previous block, due to stacking order in the browser) more difficult (related to #7919)

Closing in favor of #7766, which is 10 days older than my report!
