What problem does this address?

I find it quite confusing and unintuitive that the opacity for Hex values can not be easily regulated when the hex value is selected.
When changing the opacity the hex value jumps from 6 to 8 digits. My very confident assumption is that 6 digit hex values are way more common. Even if the 8 digit value should be used in Gutenberg, then it'd make sense to do it consistently, meaning also for values with 100% opacity.

What is your proposed solution?

Add a input field 0-100 to change the opacity.
