Missing (visual) list styling in Table Block cell editor #35764
Comments
This seems like it's close enough to #13154 to be considered a duplicate. @scheinercc is there a reason a new issue is needed? |
@javierarce requested this part to be split off and I agreed as the initial request was specifically about "adding the list via the 'Edit as HTML'", while this ticket focuses on the additional toolbar functionality. |
This current ticket seems like it's what people really want, the previous ticket is trying to use a bunch of hacks to get ordered lists working. This is more concise and better ui! An Alternative: How difficult would it be to add the list block inside a table cell? This would maybe open up the table to be able to insert other blocks inside the cells? |
+1 for allowing us to add lists inside tables |
+1 from me too |

Without this the default table block is unusable. |

Hi friends. Are there any plans to implement this? it's an issue for non-coding folks |
+1 it was working on the classic editor tables and it's often a request |
+1 many users are using this ! |

+1 - I would also love to see some options to merge table cells and change cell colours. |

What problem does this address?
Editors can currently not (easily) style lists of text as such within table cells of the Table Block element.
As per #13154 (comment) it is possible to add lists by editing the table's HTML directly, but this might outside the capabilities at least of some content editors. The code can also become quite hard to read, once the table or the content become more complex.
What is your proposed solution?
Add the list options from the List Block element to the content editing options of the Table Block element next to the alignment options.
