I wanted to bring to your attention some compliance concerns regarding the repository:

  1. Proprietary Code: It appears there are multiple instances of proprietary code from Dell and Intel in the Git history that have been soft deleted. This should be addreseds this to ensure this repository remains in good standing.

  2. GPL Violations: The usage of GPL-licensed libraries under the current license seems to be a violation of the GPL terms. This needs to be resolved to uphold your commitment to open-source principles.

Recommended Actions:

  • Remove Proprietary Code: Please review the repository for any proprietary code from Dell and Intel and consider permanently deleting it.
  • Replace GPL Libraries: You should look into replacing any GPL-licensed libraries or re-licensing the project to comply with GPL requirements.

Taking these steps will help you avoid potential legal issues with Intel, Dell, and the FSF, and will ensure you uphold the values as a project. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I'm not sure deleting the GPL code would do any good, this program's been distributed in binary form for decades and it's been in breach all along
