I see the build script looks for Visual Studio 2019 Community, but it doesn’t seem to be available anywhere. I can get the build tools, but that’s somehow not sufficient. The only Community edition I can get is 2022. Where can I obtain 2019?

Thanks, but I also got the same page, with no 2019 Community edition available after singing in. Is that where you got yours?

Try running Visual Studio Installer standalone. Also 2022 should work, and you can if necessary at the v14.1x build tools to the VS2022 installation.

Okay, I’ll try that. Maybe I’ll have to modify the build script to make that run then.

It might even build on the v14.2x or v14.3x toolchains.

I mean, for all intents and purposes of what you need, you can do what dxgldotorg suggest (install the build tools) or install any other VS 2019 and should work, this is because the difference between editions are generally some analisys and develompent tools than make development easier, but there is no thing really needed to make something in VS that is behind a paywall, therefore any Visual Studio 2019 will do.

You may get pro, log in with a phony account, update the source so you can work it with Visual Studio 2022, let the trial expire (in VS 2019 pro) and call it a day.

Or you may download VS2019 pro installer, and see if you can catch the community version through the visual studio installer.

Personaly i think the best course of action (or the one you should try first) is installing the build tools, if that doesn't work you may try to get something else.

Okay, I'm getting all comments like "try the download page," which I already said I tried.

What I'm interested in knowing at this point is did any one of you actually built it? What did you use?

I can't download anymore either, even after authorization. Maybe I'm missing the free subscription or it's outdated. But I have the online installer downloaded in my stock.
Don't worry, it is signed.
