I would love to try WebUSB API on existing devices. As per WebAPI spec, it is allowed by some kind of
Public Device Registry doc. As per issue Registry still is not ready and seems won't be ready soon.

Is there any way to make WebUSB work with existing device without WebUSB support?

Chrome is currently experimenting with allowing top-level frames to access any USB device as long as it was selected by the user using a chooser.

I have not yet updated the spec to highlight this as a possible User Agent policy choice. When I do I will tag it to this issue.
