MEETING: Attribution Reporting API calls #80
Comments
This is a good idea. I can generally free up any of the time slots listed above. |
I am interested in general but I'm wondering if this API has multi implementer interest? If so, which? Knowing that feels like an important basis for discussion, i.e. are we discussing something that is on track to become a proposed standard or are we discussing a single browser/engine specification? |
Thanks John. I don't think we have any public statements of interest yet from other browser vendors but as this proposal is still in incubation that should be fine (the WICG charter does not require multi-browser support). We're also still iterating through lots of new ideas in this space that are at early stages like the aggregate conversion measurement, which you seemed to express some interest in exploring (e.g. some Prio-like solution) at the privacy CG F2F (minutes). |
Sure, I'm not saying you're in any bad state or shouldn't incubate. 🙂 I just want to know what I'd be signing up for. I'd prefer it if we could isolate issues that are relevant for both Conversion Measurement API and Private Click Measurement. Would that be possible? |
I don't want to limit the discussions in these meetings to just issues relevant to PCM, but I think we could certainly have meetings where that's the primary agenda topic. |
Sounds good. Please ping me for those meetings. |
Monday 8-9pm GMT and Tuesday 6:30-7pm GMT would work best for me. Thanks! |
Hi Charlie, thanks for highlighting this group in web-adv. |
I can do Monday 3-4 GMT, Tuesday 3:00-3:30, or Tuesday 10:30-11:00 |
Hey,
I have a few people on my side that I would invite to this as well (I
think that's 3 folks from our reporting/measurement/ML teams who
incidentally are working on a spec for this usecase as well).
- Tuesday 10:30-11 works
- Monday 4-6pm, 8-9pm works
- Thursday 7.30-8.30pm works
The folks from my teams are, hopefully that's not too many of them:
- Andrew Pascoe <[email protected]>
- Joey Robert <[email protected]>
- Mikko Juola <[email protected]>
cheers

Between @bedfordsean, @ajknox, and myself, we can make Thanks for organizing @csharrison! |
Hi Charlie, Thank you so much for organizing this. We are available for all the proposed schedule before 6pm GMT, after it is not possible for us, based in Paris, it would be too late. Thanks again, |
I would be happy to participate in this conversation (though this isn't an explicit implementer interest/intent to implement from Mozilla). I can do all of the suggested timeslots though the Tuesday ones are slightly more inconvenient for me. Thanks! |
Thanks everyone. It looks like we can meet the most schedules on Monday from 4-5pm GMT. Given that next week is the week of American Thanksgiving, I propose we first meet on Nov 30, from 4-5pm GMT, although if there are strong objections let me know. We can use this issue for agenda curation in the meantime. |
Thanks @csharrison for organizing! To clarify, from Nov 30 onward, do you intend to week weekly, or every 2 weeks (or some other cadence)? |
Great question. I think we can stick with every 2 weeks unless it seems like we have a lot of material to get through and folks want to meet more often. |
I added a link to a Google Meet in the issue description, along with a Google doc with a tentative agenda (@johnwilander there may be some topics of interest to you). Feel free to use this issue to suggest further agenda items. |
Let's schedule the next meeting for Monday, Dec 14 at 4-5pm GMT. I'll create a new notes / agenda doc closer to the call and provide meeting details. As always, feel free to use this issue to propose agenda items. |
Awesome. Since we'll have talked about our new spec https://github.com/AdRoll/privacy/blob/main/SPURFOWL.md in the next w3c meeting I wonder if it would be possible to talk about that within this group. |
@csharrison, can you update in this issue to include links to call in details, times, and where minutes are posted? I think this is most discoverable way for new people to join this topic |
Updated the issue to provide the call-in details, links to past minutes, and an agenda doc for the next meeting. |
Scheduling the next call for Jan 11, since I will be mostly out of office till that Monday. Enjoy the holidays everyone! 🎉 |
This coming Monday @johnivdel will present a new document we published on event-level VTC: If we have time we can also discuss a new proposal for cross device: |
Just updated the call to clarify that we're now meeting at 3pm GMT, to accommodate the time zone changes that happened a while back. Let me know if this is an issue for anyone, though we have been at this schedule accidentally for the last couple meetings (my apologies)! |
Hi Charlie, Could I talk today (probably quickly) about the ML challenge that we are launching, described here #137 ? Best, |
Yep sounds good. |
Given that the 31st is Memorial Day I propose we cancel next week's meeting. At least all the Google folks (including myself) have the day off. |
We don't have an agenda for tomorrow's meeting, so planning on canceling unless there are objections. |
Hey everyone, this will be our last meeting of 2023! On the agenda are two short presentations about recent papers we published:
|
Welcome back from the holidays! We don't have any major agenda items so I will be canceling the meeting today. Hoping to have a topic or two for next time as we ramp up into the new year. |
Not too much to report this week, so we don't have many topics. On our end we are still figuring out the best approach to land the full flex functionality so it is mostly figuring out technical details. Please propose any other topics here or in the minutes doc if folks want to meet. |
Thanks for the meeting today. Given that our next scheduled meeting is a US Holiday, let's plan to skip and resume back on March 4. |
Today @akashnadan will present on post-3PCD debugging. Slides are posted here: https://github.com/WICG/attribution-reporting-api/blob/main/meetings/2024-03-04/post-3pcd-debugging-proposals.pdf |
There is currently no agenda for today's meeting. I propose we cancel and meet again on April 1st unless there are any objections. |
There are currently some issues with access on the notes doc, for todays meeting on 4/1 let's use this notes doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HO5Kh8UwnZb2zIP_bIKnRadnZzmyxxnAooUWUcNetQo/edit?usp=sharing |
Hey folks, we currently have no items on the agenda for todays meeting. I propose cancelling and reconvening on April 29th. |
Hey folks, we currently have nothing on the agenda for todays meeting, so I suggest we cancel and meet next on May 12th. |
Hey folks, sorry for the late notice, we don't have any agenda for today's meeting, so let's cancel and meet again on June 3rd given May 27th is a holiday in the US. |
So will you continue bi-weekly from 3 June or resume the prior schedule on 10 June? |
Apologies, we have no agenda for this week. So let's resume the normal schedule on June 10th. Sorry for the late notice and confusion! |
Looks like John is out today and we don't have items in the doc, so I'm proposing to cancel (sorry for the last minute) |
Hi! I am a bit confused - where can I find the file with the agenda? (I don't have access to the file linked a few comments above). I have a few quick questions from my side, and I think a response in this issue will suffice:
Bests, |
Hi @michal-kalisz , we accrue agenda items in this doc and in this issue (so you can just post here before a meeting to add something). For these questions since they are just related to timeline, we can just repond offline (personally I don't know the answers off the top of my head - will need to talk to the team :) ) |
We currently have no agenda for todays meeting. Let's cancel, and meet again on Monday August 5th. |
Hey everoyone, there are no topics for todays call, let's cancel and reconvene on Monday August 19th |
Hey folks, sorry for the late notice, but there are no agenda items added for today's meeting. I suggest we cancel and meet in 2 weeks. Given these are often being cancelled, we should probably consider reducing the frequency. |
Hey folks, let's cancel todays meeting as there is no agenda in the doc. As noted above, we are going to look at moving this to an ad-hoc meeting given the drop in frequency here. If there are any questions or concerns feel free to raise them on this thread; and we can share some more information in the next week. Thanks! |
Hello @johnivdel. Meeting today? |
Hi David - We have moved to ad-hoc meetings depending on the content/agenda asks. We plan to publish agenda and meeting dates here if we intend to meet. Please feel to leave your comments/suggestions here and if there is an agenda you want to us to put forth. |
Hi All, we are planning to have our next meeting on November 18th at 9am PST. The Agenda for this meeting will be:
Please comment or let me know if there are any additional agenda items you would like to add. Meeting link: https://meet.google.com/jnn-rhxv-nsy Thanks! |

Minutes are posted here
At TPAC there was some consensus that folks would like more time to discuss this API through the WICG. Let's use this issue for scheduling and planning. I was planning on using the same basic technology to host the meeting (Google Meet), with a shared Google doc for queuing and note taking.
Possible time slots (in GMT) for a recurring / semi-recurring 30-60 minute meeting:
Unfortunately the list of interested people was not captured in the TPAC notes, so feel free to cc folks that you think would be interested. We can use this issue to align on a time slot, duration, etc.
