We need a CONTRIBUTING.md

Not sure what's involved, but would be good to indicate clear expectations in regards to what it means to contribute to VD. Need to browse other repositories to see how others are writing theirs.

If you have any recommendations please link to them and we can discuss what makes sense for us.

Github gives the following guidelines for the document, along with examples. Is this what you have in mind?

@IamAdiSri that's what I had in mind, yes, and it's a great starting place. thank you for pointing it out to me. What I'm interested in is a suggestion or 2 for a document that suits contributing to our developer community.

I see that our needs may be very specific, and we a hand-crafted one that isn't focused around contributing code, but rather contributing ideas and improving our community resources / documentation.
