From Adam:

I installed Choreo using the x86_64.deb installer from my account on Anthony, Dustin, Cy, and Zach. It works for all users on Anthony and Zach, and gives black screen for all users including myself on Dustin and Cy. Running from the command line on a working vs non-working machine shows identical debug output.
I ran an apt upgrade on Dustin, but this didn't help.
Looking into other hidden dependencies, though I don't know why Anthony and Zach would be any different from the other two.

I built from source on Dustin and still no luck. Same black screen result.

@AlanDThiessen solved this by setting environment variable:
export WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1

He said it's a known Tauri bug. tauri-apps/tauri#5143
