So because of how fair and forgiving minecraft's early game is, i ended up dying at night again on my way to recover my items, i decided to leave back to title screen out of frustration.
When i joined back and went back to where i died, i only saw the purple particles with no totem, and soon after the particles disappeared too, not sure if it was because of dying again, leaving or both, but all my fkin items were gone, so please if this is intention then... why? please don`t do that.... change your ways...
Suggestions:
-Make the totem remain after we die when there's already one from a past death, or additional deaths could not have the totem and instead drop items on the ground in case it were supposed to be for only one death at a time, also not make the original totem despawn in anyway, unless it only remains temporarily by design, i can understand that with the condition of the next suggestion... -Make the totem always drop its content whenever it despawns (without being through us hitting it to get the stuff back), so in the case of any problem that causes it to despawn, it won't just take all our stuff away and we can still get it the old fashioned way.
After that i got so frustrated that i decided to just start a whole new world, and now i have to use the gravestone mod to avoid future incidents like this, when i really wanted to just use the totem instead.
Also in case the totem already drops items in any event it despawns by itself, and items just despawn in vanilla when we leave the world, then i guess this is a curse you to mojang instead (just another one to their already really long list) so in this case would be a nice opportunity to make items not despawn when we leave the world in either this or base quark, since you know, this is the kind of thing those mods are for.

ok so i just found out about the dark souls option in the mod... which quite of invalidate most of what i said
big curse to the mod for leaving it on by default all along.
The two suggestions i gave are still big brained ones though, so please apply them (make the first one for the dark souls mode instead).
