Compatibility Report

  • Name of the game with compatibility issues: Legacy of Kain™ Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered
  • Steam AppID of the game: 2521380

System Information

  • Steam Deck OLED
  • Proton version: Proton 9, Experimental, Hotfix, GE 9.20

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

Game works but the screen is cut off, best seen in the menus as some text clips the screen edge. Probably wrong resolution ratio scaled up - game has no resolution options.

Reproduction

Open game, enter the Extras menu on the bottom or in-game menu, see text being cut off.

This has nothing to do with proton, works fine on a steam deck when you set resolution to a 16:9 one in properties. This is a problem for the game devs.

It's broken out of the box for Steam Deck users and Valve can fix this on Proton's end whether the devs address it or not, either way the issue should be catalogued.
