Description:

  • To enhance Odometry data accuracy, we want to add an IMU as an Odometry source.
  • Investigate interfacing a Wiimote with ROS since we currently have one available.

Goals:

  • Set up the hardware connection for the IMU
  • Launch appropriate nodes to publish Odometry messages from the IMU

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Can rostopic echo the published Odometry messages from the IMU

Notes:

  • Depending on the Wiimote's accuracy, we will likely opt for a more standard IMU used in robotics.
