What should happen

I have an idea! Please change option always run in menu to using a specific key to toggle running mode, like when I press alt, Niko will change from walking default to jogging, and still can use l-shift for sprinting, press alt again to switch back to walking. Or you guys can integrate it to l-shift as well!

It already works that way if you set sprinting to toggle in game settings.

I know that, but that is not what I'm saying, that sprinting option have different animation and speed from running, You know, the animation when toggled on always run.

Actually, no. Setting the "Always Sprint" to On, only allows you to cycle between walking, and sprinting.
I guess what he wants is GTAV's behavior, in which you can press left shift once, the player would start running and if you press the key once more, the player would start sprinting.

"Always Run" is literally Max Payne 3's system. "Always Sprint" though, could have GTAV's behavior.

Actually, when I requested for this feature, I really meant this. Like, I think it's correct that IV naturally should do this.

You know, holding Shift to run and then hitting various times Shift to sprint.

Also, maybe would be cool too if GTAV's feature to enter a taxi pressing F once was also added.

I would also love to see a feature like this.
My preferred way would be this behaviour ("Always Run" option is disabled):

  • WASD default: Walk
  • Press Alt (or any other key defined with the "WalkKey = " option in the ini): Toggle between walk and run/jog
  • Press or hold Shift (depending on the Sprint toggle option in the Controls menu): Sprint

At the moment it behaves almost like this except I have to hold Alt to run/jog which works but isn't ideal in my opinion.
