Currently the output of the model is the top of canopy (or volume) specific intensity.

For many applications, it is also desirable to have additional information about e.g

  • total canopy transmission
  • total canopy absorption

These are implicitly simulated, but are not an output of the model at the moment. Is it possible to have these additional parameters as an output using the current technical ?

I looked a bit into this issue....
In principle it's of course possible, but we'd have to do some additional math to get
for example the first-order downwelling contribution at the bottom of the canopy explicitly.

I'd suggest to leave it as a possible future development and stick to the current
outputs for the first version.
