Current Behavior

Error 500: Redirects to non existent record

Expected Behavior

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to Top Left Sia icon > Net Address > View on Siascan

Version

v2.0.0-beta.1

What operating system did the problem occur on (e.g. Ubuntu 22.04, macOS 12.0, Windows 11)?

Linux; podman, docker

for me it took a while - few hours. I'm guessing your node was fully sync'ed and announce happened. if not you should wait sync and announce then 1-2 hours and then look at siascan. You probably know that, but just in case - if you don't have anything in your wallet your node can't be announced. it needs ~ 0.3 SC to announce your host. so go on binance and send $1-2 worth of sia coins to your wallet.

@npelov I can find the node with the ed25519 identifier.

The link provided by the UI doesn't resolve to the host on siascan. I think it might be due to the removal of the port (9982) from the host address configuration, but I haven't looked at the code to verify.

I didn't know that removing the port is valid? Will(should) it just assume the default port 9982?

@alexfreska I'd recommend just removing the "View on Siascan" button for the net address. It's not recommended to lookup hosts by the address since it can change and using the public key is guaranteed to work.

This is accurate. The host settings no longer include the port, but the address broadcast on-chain does.
