In Indian English, if I recall correctly, counting goes like this:
1 one
10 ten
100 one hundred
1,000 one thousand
10,000 ten thousand
1,00,000 one lakh (what we'd call one hundred thousand)
10,00,000 ten lakhs (what we'd call one million)
1,00,00,000 one crore
10,00,00,000 ten crore
100,00,00,000 one hundred crore
1,000,00,00,000 one thousand crore
10,000,00,00,000 ten thousand crore
1,00,000,00,00,000 one lakh crore
If I've understood the CLDR file correctly, it's treating "en-IN" like "en-US", which would be wrong for digit grouping.
