Updating/downloading in the background

As far as I can see PodFetch does not download the podcasts in the background. Is this a possibility?

For me, the most important thing of all is to have a vigilant fetcher on my home network so that I can hoard my favourite shows.

It would be clumsy to just have a global setting, "Download episodes in the background". I subscribe to a number of current events feeds which I do not care to keep, however, some of my feeds I want to download and keep.

This has been touched on in a few of my discussions but it would be helpful to have feed level configuration whereby the global setting, "Download episodes in the background" could be enabled/disabled on a per-feed basis.
