Getting started

Hi, I am the one from reddit, who had problems with podfetch.
I want to run it locally so my docker-compose is like:

I can add podcasts and they get downloaded but overall everything is buggy. Where can I download all episodes of a podcast? I even tried the IP from my homeserver, things got better but notifications are missing.

I tried to remove the podcast with removing the files, but this does nothing. Removing without files works.
What is missing in my config? I used the provided config in the readme and modified it for my setup.

I think you have to set the "Number of initial podcasts to download" to a rather high number (500?) to load every episode.
This is global which means every podcast gets pulled in the full

Yes. That is the solution.

Performance should be fixed with the next version. Unfortunately I get constant dropouts on GitHub. Seems like they have an issue today.

I tried again, it works now. Only thing that is not working is deleting podcast with files. The files are kept, but this is not a big problem. User mapping works very well 👍🏻

Podfetch shall download all episodes and is downloading the same episode 3x

But why? This is the only podcast I started with

Why is it three times mentioning "Downloading podcast episode"? What did you try to do?

I added the podcast via the + Button :D
I clicked only one time, and I get the notfication "podcast added"

Strange... I started completly over, did exact the same and now it only loads correctly

Very weird. I cannot reproduce that. The podcasts are normally saved first and then sequentially downloaded and saved.

It runs now without problems as I started completly over again. Only thing would be notifications. I need to click on every single notification so it disappears. With 200+ episodes this is a lot of work :)
And the X to dismiss the notification is out of range, I need to scroll on the side to reach it.

But this was just a very small issue.

Yes there is still a lot to do. I'm on it. Just pay attention not to run the dev build on your "production" server. There can be breaking changes when I'm trying things out there.
