This might be a bit of a specific use case, but I was hoping for a way to listen to both the casted audio and desktop audio in sync.
I was wondering if you could implement a feature to set a delay on the audio coming out of the computer speaker so it could be synced up to the chromecasts.

Would be nice but I don't think it's possible.

While out of the scope of this project, something like VoiceMeeter should be able to accomplish this in a way. You'd use output A1 with a syncro delay (https://forum.vb-audio.com/viewtopic.php?t=682) with the computer's speakers, and hand-tune the ms delay. Then in Windows' sound settings you'd set your default audio speaker to be something like VBCable that you won't hear and use that as the input in VoiceMeeter. You might even be able to co-opt an unused HDMI or S/PDIF output to be the default audio source that you won't hear. In ChromeCast Desktop Audio Streamer you'll set the input to be that unheard audio source, whether its VBCable or an HDMI out. Hope that helps if you're still dreaming of syncing your computer speakers to the chromecasts' inherent delay.
