Modoco Backend

Modoco Backend Server

  • Socket.IO Server with Redis Adapter
  • HTTP API Server documented with Swagger

(Required) Project settings

certificate

/secrets에 private key와 certificate 파일(key.pem, cert.pem)을 넣어줍니다. 필요 없으면 main.ts의 createServer 함수를 수정해주세요.

.env

먼저 .env파일을 아래의 양식을 참고해서 만듭니다. 프로젝트 루트 디렉터리 아래에 넣어야 합니다.

별도로 서버를 띄우지 않더라도 간편하게 Docker로 띄워서 바로 modoco-backend를 실행할 수 있도록 스크립트를 구성해두었습니다.

Docker와 관련된 파일은 /dockers에 있습니다.

만약 따로 서버를 운영하시는 경우 아래의 .env 양식을 참고해서 주소와 비밀번호를 세팅하시면 됩니다.

상세한 설정 값에 관해서는 /src/config/ 아래에 있는 파일들을 참고해주세요.

Installation

1. Install npm dependency

# install packages
$ yarn install

# clean install packages
$ yarn ci

2. Run Containers

# run redis, postgresql container and migrate to postgresql
$ yarn docker:dev:up && yarn prisma:dev:deploy

3. Run NestJS app

# run app
$ yarn start

# run in watch mode
$ yarn start:dev

# production mode
$ yarn start:prod

# repl mode
$ yarn start:repl

Deployment

# deploy nest app (=`yarn ci && yarn build && yarn start:prod`)
$ yarn deploy

Termination

# remove test db container
$ yarn db:test:rm

# remove production db container
$ yarn db:dev:rm

# remove redis container
$ yarn redis:rm

Testing

docker, docker-compose is needed. It automatically creates test db container using docker when e2e test is ran.

# unit tests
$ yarn test

# e2e test
$ yarn test:e2e

# coverage
$ yarn test:cov

Prisma

Migration

  • Migration files are in /prisma/migrations/.
  • Schema is /prisma/schema.prisma
    • you have to configure binaryTargets depending on what OS you use

Migrate to production database

# migrate migration files to database
yarn prisma:dev:deploy

Create migration

yarn prisma migrate dev

This command

  • Create migration from your schema
  • Apply migrations to database
  • Generate artifacts (e.g. Prisma Client)

Management

# Pull and update schema from existing db
$ yarn prisma db pull

# Push schema state to db
$ yarn prisma db push

Tool

Simple database helper embeded in prisma

yarn prisma studio

Generate prisma artifacts (ex. client file)

yarn prisma generate
