sip-tester ( Debian package ) #529

Hi! When I try to install sipp on Debian, I search the Debian package

apt-cache search sipp

Then return

sip-tester - Performance testing tool for the SIP protocol

The sip-tester is actually sipp.

Why would be rename to sip-tester ?

That will be confuse new guy.

I can trace this back to the origin:

But I don't see any explanation why the package name sipp was not used.

And as I'm not the maintainer of the debian/ubuntu packages, I cannot change it either.

At that time, there was a sipp package[0] already there so that's the reason of sip-tester name
