Official public Discord/Zulip/something else? #467

Description

@nazar-pc

I have somewhat recently accidentally discovered that apparently there exists a rust-gpu Discord server.

It is not dead, there are actual people and discussions there, but it is very hard to find since it is not linked from anywhere. If not that comment, I wouldn't know about its existence either. I heard there is also a private Zulip that is for maintainers only.

I'm wondering if it would make sense to link that Discord server from official docs or create a public official Zulip for discussions?

GitHub's discussions are okay, but I feel like they are often confused with issues and generally are not as nice as some other alternatives. Zulip has the benefit of being potentially readable without registration and index-able by search engines, etc.

What do maintainers think about this?
